Your attitude is too polite to car. Don’t serve the sheet of steel.

Audi RS 5 Test Drive Review

R-35 GTR

Bart Mlotkowski says:

70k? what a bargain! ill take two

Northwest Biotherapeutics says:

this guy reminds me of the green giant for some reason…lol.

C Straley says:

This is the new redesigned RS5 with the electronic rear differential. This
allows over-driving of the outside tire in turns which compensates for the
f/r bias. The S5 also has this option, take it from me it’s awesome. The
new Corvette will also feature this as an option which is unforgivable to
pass on.

jamal khattak says:

the best reviewer indeed…sober and sensible…

venom5809 says:

I like the car, just does not look as muscular and aggressive as it should
for an RS model to me. I like the Audi jacket and the shades with the
matching red.

naperking says:

“If this RS proves to be anything close to the previous RS models…” Um,
dude, you’re supposed to be telling us if it is anything close to the
previous RS models. You’re reviewing the car, remember? This is not a
commercial for Audi. This is the review for the RS5 with the least useful
information. No feedback on how the car feels, no info on 0-60 times or 1/4
mile times (or even track times). Next time we need MUCH more useful
information, less hot air please.

MikeRelvasR8 says:

It might be the first RS5 in the U.S, but he didn’t say “The first RS5 in
the U.S”, he said “The first EVER RS5″. I mean, he might haven’t said that
intentionaly but the mistake is there and I just corrected his statement.

Michael "Blue" Erdmier says:

“…the original S5 had that same engine…” Uh, NO. Read your Audi
literature. This engine is all new and is an R8 V10 minus 2 cylinders. It
has nothing in common with the old 4.2 besides displacement and cylinder
count. Where can I get a 6-figure job reviewing cars I know nothing about?

GaNgStAlBeRt says:

ok the rs5 is really a very good car but at that price….you have a m3.
which i would prefer because 6speed manual and RWD….and then you have the
nissan gtr which costs nearly the same but is more than 1second faster to
60 and 100 hp more

Northwest Biotherapeutics says:

too bad i can never have this car, but at least tell me where i can get
that audi jacket :-D

N.C. says:

haha, i just realized he’s wearing an Audi jacket

Thomas Rosquin says:

In the U.S.????

XMG3 says:

actually the GT-R cost about the same price as RS5

MrMike25896 says:

And I quote- ” the rs5 is not so much about the engine but performance and
handling” what the hell is this guy talking about?

Thomas Rosquin says:

I’m only kidding of course but I will agree that you guys have way better
cars than we will ever get. You have all the Skylines, Audi RS 6, the Civic
Type-R, Citroen, Renault, tons of great diesel cars, the Mitsubishi FTO,
older Evo’s ect ect. All for a lot less too. If I could move to Europe and
buy an R32 Nissan Skyline today I would!!!!!

Marco7775 says:

Audi rs5 450 km/430Nm

Thomas Rosquin says:

Well 1) Autobytel is a U.S. based company 2) The reviewer is American 3) We
could split hairs talking about what cars are available elsewhere…..but
we all know the U.S. is the center of the WORLD!!!!!

ExoticCarFan7 says:

Lol, the RS5 on the track and the one he’s documenting on aren’t the same

Michaelrsss911 says:

RWD all the way!!!

MikeRelvasR8 says:

Yeah, the U.S might be the “Center of the World” and I love it (it’s my
biggest dream to go there) but when it comes to European cars they’re very
weak. E.U cars, especially the Germans, are not sold in the U.S right when
they come out and when they start to be sold very few units are sent there.
Sometimes I wish I was American, but that’s only because I’m neither proud
of being Portuguese nor to live in Portugal, but I’m proud of European (not
only because of the cars).

greennick98 says:

Gtr starts at100000 the rs5 maxs out around 85000

Johnny Cage says:

man those gearchanges sound so terrible.

jldude84 says:

That car is sexier than anything from it’s competitors….hands down.

C Straley says:

If money wasn’t an object I would take Godzilla any day!

vinhhsanityy says:

I think he meant first RS5 sold in the US

AL3XOWNZ says:

GTR is 100k. That’s a 30k difference. lol

Hen zo says:

Mercedes and bmw have OP competitor

MikeRelvasR8 says:

The first RS5? Audi launched an RS5 in 2011. This is the ’12 RS5 facelift,
not the first ever RS5.

konvictz0007 says:

im sorry but mid/front engined rear wheel drives will always be
better…this does not compare to a bmw m car on a track. audis are very
well known to have heavy 4 wheel systems and heavy front mounted engine
which causes huge understeer in corners. theres a reason why bmws,
ferraris, aston martin, f1 cars are all rear wheel drive. im sorry audi,
please give us a proper rear wheel car.

MrFrankieFiggz says:

Car and Driver tested the RS5 on a track during its Lightining Lap and
posted a full second faster than M3, 3 seconds faster than C63, and only 1
second slower than a new M5 AND M6. :). Thats for all your beamer lovers
who say Audi’s suck on tracks
